Dr. Richard Nuñez Lawrence is the Executive Director of the Afro-Latino Association for Policy and Advocacy (ALAPA) and the Managing Principal of a consulting firm specializing in public affairs and nonprofit management. He teaches college courses in English and political science. His background includes roles in the CDC Foundation, the NYC Council, and faculty positions at Briarcliffe College and the College of New Rochelle. He has over 20 years of experience in government, higher education, and nonprofit sectors in New York City.
